EFFECTIVE PARENTING OF TEENS:
What the Bible Says about Raising Teenagers
Featuring
Reb Bradley

(Free child care is available to those who preregister.)

The Bible says that God gives children as a “blessing,” a “heritage,” and a “reward.” For many parents, however, those blessings, by their teen years, bring heartache and grief. No matter what you have heard, children need NOT become disrespectful, thankless, and self-absorbed as teenagers. The Bible offers much about this phase of growing up, and Reb gives reliable, biblical guidance to parents who wish to rescue their teens before it is too late.

Reb Bradley is the founding pastor of Hope Chapel in Sacramento, CA, and ministers not only to his own flock, but to the body of Christ at large. As a writer, conference speaker, radio counselor and talkshow host, Reb has ministered daily to ten of thousands of people.

Drawing from the Bible and the wisdom of 19th century and earlier Christian writers, Reb works to strengthen the modern Christian family. He conducts seminars and teaches extensively on issues related to marriage, child training and single Christian living. Reb and his wife Beverly, have 6 children.

Preregister by calling (336)783-0779 or 719-0046, or by e-mailing brentf@rjia.net. The syllabus is $5.00 for those who preregister, and $8.00 for those who register at the door. Free child care is available to those who preregister.

Our Church’s Name: Covenant Reformed Presbyterian

1. Covenant:
We believe the covenant promises God made to Abraham in the Old Testament are spiritually fulfilled in the New Testament church. Gal. 3:29 reads, “if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.”

2. Reformed:
We believe the Bible alone is sufficient for our faith and practice. Our doctrine comes from the Bible alone. We worship only as the Bible says we should worship. And the government of this church is patterned after the church government in the New Testament. These concerns were emphasized during the Protestant Reformation.

3. Presbyterian:
Our church government is presbyterian. This means we are overseen by ordained elders and deacons, and we also have standing connections with other churches in our denomination for unity and accountability.

Who Are We?

We are not your average church in Mt. Airy. Our members and friends travel from as far north as Galax, VA, and as far south as Lexington, NC. We live in Winston, Trap Hill, King, Pinnacle, Pilot Mtn., and Mt. Airy.

We are young and old. Some of us are from the east coast, some from the west coast. We are northerners and southerners, locals and outsiders. Many of us are involved in homeschooling. Others are active in public schools. Some of us have been believers since early childhood, but there are also new Christians among us who have only recently professed their faith. Big families, small families, singles. An appliance repairman, a deputy sheriff, a real estate broker, a surgeon, school teachers, a librarian, homemakers, a farmer, a financial planner, an electrical engineer, a retail managers, a retired trucker, and college students....
